How do I open the zip file?

Accepted Answer

Windows :
 
1. You can double click (or right click)  on the file
2. Click on 'extract all'
 
Mac
1. Double click the zipped file.
2. The file will automatically be decompressed by Archive Utility into the same folder the compressed file is in.
3. Access the extracted files by clicking the appropriate icons.

Question 3

I did not recieve my PDF files

Accepted Answer

After your purchase is complete the file link will be sent to the email you used on your order or your PAYPAL email. 
 
If the email does not arrive after a few minutes check your junk mail as the email might have gone in there, as it might be sorted as spam. 
 
If the email can't be found in your junk folder either please contact us with your order number

Can I sell garments that I've made using patterns from website?

Our patterns are for home use only, and any commercial use is strictyl prohibited. 
 
If you are interested in a licence to use our patterns for professional or commerical reasons please contact us and in some cases this right might be granted. Please contact us first. 
 
You are not permitted or authorised to use our patterns for drafting other patterns, grading or any part of the instructions to make patterns for sale.

How do I know what size to choose?

Measure your child in their underwear/no nappy as indicated on the Size Guide. Find the size that best matches their body measurements. All garments are a little bigger than body measurements to give a loose fit.
 
For pants and elastic waist garments:  find the closest size that matches your child's leg length / height  measurements. When attaching the elastic you can adjust the elastic to suit your child's waist circumference.

For all other garments find the closest measurement that matches your child. Patterns have a lengthen or shorten line indicated on the pattern. Once you purchase the pattern you can lengthen or shorten the pattern as needed and as indicated on the pattern.

What do I get with my purchase?

Each pattern comes with a zip file. Download the zip file and it contains
- patterns in all sizes to print on A4 paper
- patterns in all sizes to print on US letter paper
- patterns in all sizes to print on large format printer
- sewing instructions
- fabric suggestions
- estimate on how much fabric you will need

How do I join my PDF pattern if using home printer?

Accepted Answer

Choose the file and size you require in either A4 or US letter size (whichever suits your printer and paper).
 
Follow the page numbers and markings. Match the markings on top of each other and stick pages together.

Are patterns individual sizes or as a nest of sizes

Accepted Answer

We have supplied the pattern in a nest of sizes, however they have been created on layers so you can select only the size/s you require.

What software do I need to read the PDF?

Accepted Answer

ADOBE ACROBAT READER allows you to read and open teh PDF file.

What printer settings do I need?

Accepted Answer

If printing on your home printer make sure your printer is set to 100% or 1:1 scale NOT 'fit to page'. 
 
Print the first page and check the 'test square' is measuring accurately before printing all pages.

Are seam allowances included in the pattern?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All seam allowances are included in the pattern. We have indicated the seam allowance as a dotted  line on all our individual sized pattern (not on nested patterns).

Can I modify or cancel my order?

Accepted Answer

Once purchase is complete the file will be sent straight away, so refund or cancelling order is not permitted. 
 
Please choose carefully before going through with your purchase.

Do you do posted printed patterns?

Accepted Answer

No.  All our patterns are downloadable only and you print then yourself.

Question 14

Test sqaure is not the right size

Accepted Answer

When you print your pattern on your printer settings choose  'actual size', 'print at 100%' and not 'fit to page', or 'shrink to fit' as this will print your pattern the wrong dimensions. 
 
It is also better to use Acrobat reader software to open your PDF file. You can download it for free here.  http://get.adobe.com/reader/

What if I accidently delete my file?

If you've lost your download link please contact us with original proof of purchase and your order number.
 
Downloads are avaible for 12 months after purchase.

Question 16

I can't see the layers in the PDF file

Accepted Answer

To access the layers please open the  PDF with adobe acrobat software. The software is free or www.adobe.com/au/acrobat/pdf-reader.html

I know you can open a PDF from other software like Microsoft edge but if you use other software you may not be able to access the layers function.

1. Download the free version of adobe acrobat www.adobe.com/au/acrobat/pdf-reader.html
2. Turn off the optional offers when downloading the adobe software so it doesn’t load other Additional software like McAfee
3. Once the software is loaded on your computer open your PDF from the adobe acrobat software
4. Access the layers as the instructions
5. Print your file
